Media Poem

Stories could be long

Stories could be short

But when you hear false stories, could this be wrong

Or do you just abort

Media is a place

Always dealing with gender and race

Media is entertainment

Or is something? Cause you’ve named it

News give me the blues

They’ve searched for all types of clues

Never obey the rules

And think that their cool

When I watch your broadcast

I see people in either injured or in a cast

When I watch your broadcast

I see people dissing other people and talking about them as if they were trash

Are you too cool for school?

Predicting everything just like a mule (word play)

Are you in need of knowledge and facts?

Or are you going to sit there and just put on an act

Time is money and money is time

Do you think you have the money to count my rhymes?

Is this less important to you than other good times

Or you just never heard a poem as good as mines

The news can be fact or opinion

But it all depends on its own dominion

If you want the news to change, start things in your community

Do good and well inspired things to change the opportunity

As you splurge on the internet with your money and words

Do you think the world is going to go against you and want to purge?

That would be evil but magnificent too

But when it all comes to end; it is all about you.

This poem is written from me (A concerned induvial of news media).

News may tend to hurt and not care what they put up on TV just like that

News can do this and news cannot do that.

News can help you in your current population stance and could also leave you in disgrace.

News can socialize the world base on your race

News may have to opportunity to record anything at its own pace

News have habit of doing anything at its own rate

So, if you give news information, you’re basically putting it on its own plate.

News can be bias

News could also be pious

I’m just a concerned induvial of news media

Multiple solutions to decreasing Biased news and information

When it comes to having media being biased there could be little to no solution on fixing it. But when you think about it, there are ways to reduce the biased even though it won’t go away entirely. I’ve conducted a few surveys throughout my time of writing this essay and many people have had many different ways of reducing but not stopping biased media completely on its tracks. One of my surveyor named Vanessa didn’t mind me using her name and said “We should basically change the anchor-men of the broad cast station due to the fact that they have a strong connection to the republican an opinion of things.” But the problem with this is that according to gale group opposing viewpoints “Reporters were trained to keep personal beliefs to themselves when writing about events.” If this is true, then The broad cast station itself should make major changes to their policies. The people who had conducted the policies may have had been right sided and not neutral or focus of both sides.  Another one of my surveyors named Ahir stated “ we should do a way better job at focusing on both sides of the subject and the express their selves with an open opinion.” Which is also true, the idea of having an opinion on the broadcast station is something news do not want. News channels really do not want immediate change unless it is forced upon them to changed their ways or they may even change over time, but that would take forever.
When interviewing my professor of sociology (Kirschner, David) he mentions that “there no such thing as an unbiased news sources or party identification and that all news is biased. But he said one way that news has been improved it is thanks to the internet and thanks to the people ability to use a camera or an iPhone to recorded their own shows or radio and podcasts they may have conducted by themselves. Everyday people can take an objective to trying to report things that are bias as possible, so you would like get these independent news sources that I think tends to be more unbiased news.” One reason there so much negativity and biased on the new channels is that the news no longer about conveying information, or telling people what’s going on. It’s about making money, if they most extreme story out there you’re going to tend to get the most viewers. The idea of more attention and more money is causing them to be biased and grab certain audience that they know will pay attention and watch their station. Another one of my surveyors said the same concepts. Her name was Liz and she had stated “Money and funding is more important to the stations out there than anything else. Watching like nonconflictual stations would be more reliable to get information from rather than the big broad cast stations out there than provokes money and power. Coming from Opposing view point stated that “There are two main strands of media criticism from the left. Some liberal critics accuse the media of being vehicles of propaganda for big business and government. Others focus their concern on the growing conservatism in the media as a result of the success of Fox News and conservative talk radio. "Coming from voxeu are some more options include to reduce bias media throughout world and its people that watches news.

  • creating national endowments for journalism and media to ensure long-term financial independence
  • allocating funds to content-providers as a function of audience and/or via a range of voting mechanisms
  • expansion of the public broadcasting model to provide space and visibility for these outside content-providers
  • subsidising investigative reporting (at the local, national, and international levels) as well as professional training for journalists
  • subsidising media infrastructure (see e.g., Obama and Gordon Brown’s commitments to breach the digital divide)
  • removing advertising from public TV stations, as imminent in France and Spain. This reduces commercial bias of their content and pressures their competitors to reduce bias; it also shifts ad revenues to private media, complementing plans to subsidise media consumption and media entry.

“For conservatives, bias in the media lies in the political beliefs of the journalists” coming from opposing viewpoints as a factual statement. “My argument that even the genuinely “liberal” media is not nearly so liberal as the conservatives are conservative, that it is not organized as a political movement— and that indeed, much of it has been cowed into adopting conservative assumptions and arguments if only unconsciously— was more than borne out by the collective yawn with which these ideas were met by some of the media’s most liberal constituents.” The problem is very complex in news stations, what the news says could be neutral and if you believe that its neutral and you’re listening to fox news and you believe that its objective then the person that believes this idea is completely being misled on how they have their thoughts upon the news. People are biased also so to speak when it comes to thinking that their always right and what they perceive on televisions is also right of course. Then if you think your right and all of your choices are right then who’s to say you’re not biased also? But the problem with biased in the news is that you have to have a powerful backup tell people that you’re not as biased as they perceive you as. Journalism is good to have for the media to give their idea upon the news station trying to convinced people that their not as biased. But most people have good and bad thoughts upon the broadcast station ideas.

In the video and comments of the comment sections on broadcast stations shows that the argument in the comments shows people basically arguing over whether or not the new story is unbiased or objective and why it’s not objective, and also you could see in the debates ant the evidence in the story its self that it is not biased but just perceived as biased when something happens on their broadcast stations. But as my professor David stated broadcast stations could use the comment section as to get an idea of what they’re doing because they know that their biased it’s just the fact of looking at it and how other people would think about it.When it all comes around their really just playing with people’s minds and emotions to see what they get from it and how people act on the subject which is not a problem but is really not needed to start propaganda throughout the world. The solution of stopping it or decreasing it in my mind is to not have every news station so close to government control and the CEO’s on what to publish and not. Having a Broadcast station with free thought would release the thought and stress of having biased news. #STOPBIASEDMEDIA

Call To Action!!!

False information should be abolished for the local broadcast stations around the public. All of this false information is causing controversy between people and their opinions on social media. Making them look like fools when someone prove them wrong based upon the false evidence they're given. When it comes to providing sources and information on television, the broadcast stations should provide the truth and the facts needed to support their station popularity. Integrity is key to success; the public will tend to respect you more if you have more truth than false information given. Lets face the facts , who would want to be lied to when searching up information needed and you need actual facts?

Also having biased news is a major NO for television in my opinion.I believe that every news channel should be equal when it comes to picking sides. They could hire people to counter each other for their opinions on the subject that is given. Having arguments can be fun when people talk about it and intervene in it. but when it just on station on one side than that's not cool at all because all they would have to talk about is just that one side and what they think should happens rather than the other side. People should say something about this and try to make them change their ways of idea's. that's where the idea of comments comes to play because everyone have their opinions so to say. If  the public made a lot of comments about the subjects that i am speaking on then there would be no way they could ignore it. #LetsComment

The main problem of one sidedness is the fact is there’s always a counter argument ready to express his or her negativity or thought upon your ideas. When local news channels have opinions one their stations or social media in general, the comments that their new stations receive can be sometimes good and sometimes harsh. The public has the authority and right to express their thought upon the situations on social media. Freedom of speech plays a major key in the comment sections on their channels throughout each and every state. That being one way to communicate with others that share the same thoughts. Some News stations may base their news off of the comments they receive and what’s popular around their community. But not all news stations go by the same rules which could cause them to be misled on the information and cause people to have mixed opinions. The good news and great news could get mixed up with the bad news and harsh when looking at different information in different perspectives. Here’s some example of comments coming from people on social media talking about certain broadcast stations.

“I no longer view FOX, because time and time again, I’ve watched them for news, so that I may be an informed voter, but realized they’ve played with their reporting so many times over the years that I was no longer getting the facts. There’s so much bias and manipulation of their audience that I can no longer deem them to be trustworthy. It’s important to have a conservative-leaning news agency, one that focuses on accuracy and integrity, and FOX is NOT it.”-David.

“Nope no more FOX Not Fair and Balanced anymore. Megan Kelly’s never-ending, malicious attacks on Trump. She should have been fired after the first debate. Her first question to Trump was not Political, it was a devious attack that she continued throughout the debate.”-Cheryl

“I Have Lost A Great Deal Of Respect For The Growing Number Of Anti Trump Reporters On Fox – Sean Hannity Is Amazing , But Megyn, Shepherd And Others Are, By Proxy Of Their Trump Trashing, Sending Votes Hillary’s Way – Shame On Them.”-Teri

When the public have a difference of opinion on what should have to stay and what shouldn’t be on television is a matter of how good the facts are that can be supported rather than based their channels on abundance of mixed opinions and evidence. This is a major problem for some news stations have rather than it being all news stations. For example, the popular stations that may have some false evidence upon famous people is TMZ. Not all information/Scoops they get are all valid. They may just get this information just for the interesting information that’s their and could catch people attentions and start false rumours. Every famous person in California knows what TMZ is “Thirty-mile zone”. When it comes to getting their information, Harvey Levin creator of TMZ admitted to paying for his scoops that he gets for the popular shows. This creating a higher percentage of it being false information. He need to clarify the information legally and publish the information with the person that he had paid for the scoop instead of an underground reporter. False information could cause controversy in the comment sections of their stations. For all you know you could be having feelings on something that’s not true and started an argument about when at the end it is proven to be false and you look stupid.

In conclusions to all of this is when it comes to having an opinion on something, people will keep their ideas open for you to read and better yourself for next time. It’s not bad to have an opinion, but when you think about opinions could turn into facts if a vase amount agrees to what you have to say and it is known throughout the country that your opinion could change something or someone. But when false information comes into put and people have their opposing arguments on the stuff provided. People will look like a fool when they find that it is false and be disappointed with the stations and its CEO. We should stop false information coming from stations and have Integrity in your broadcast stations.

Socialization

Socialization plays a part in the idea of fox has by putting people into groups white shared norms and ideas, populations, races, etc. If fox were to get news of white family having problems and bad times and another family had the same problems but there were black. Fox would most likely be more attracted to the black family cause of their history of violence and “juicy” stories. Many News Stations Socialize people into groups just to get a clear understanding of what they’re dealing with. A black person is socialized into a group of crime and wrong doing while a white person is socialized into good doing and successful life. Socialization has always been a part of our lives since people start roaming the earth and conquering lands while calling the shots.

Broadcast stations may use socializations as a key factor for putting people in place based upon their race/ethnic. When this idea or problem is brought up, people may choose to ignore it and be neutral about it or get involved in whatever is going on in the community or world-wide. Some examples of people getting involved would be the rallies and black lives matter move movements around the world. People are truly upset about the idea of cops shooting black people so they took upon their selves to make a point that this should stop. When is on live people look at them as a violent society just looking for violence to cause and brag about. If we are raised in an environment of hate, we may likely grow up to hate.  If we are raised in an environment of tolerance, we will tolerate.

When people or “Minors” or come up on the news, people will think of them as the poor and reckless class that always have violence going on throughout their community. Social media is the ultimate influence on socialization when it comes to recognising people due to what they look like and their groups. Tv is also a form of social media which is commonly known throughout the world. When groups or rallies gather together to march upon the streets of a city while the broadcast stations of news on television shows them in a different perspective that what it seems, as if it was bad or anything. People will not simply just say “Hey! That’s socialism!”  but rather people would acquire the term racism for the event. Even though the concept of racism may be similar and comes from socialization, people prefer to say that term to get to their point. Most people don’t know what socialization is when being put into context.

Inspired by Janet Gonzalez-Mena. Second paragraph says that Television is an influence on people and affects their cognitive and social development (Elkind, 2007;Wright et al., 2001). Television has greatest socialization effect on people than anything else, it surpasses all the other media in its influence on the people and their communities. While watching, communities may have the feeling that they need to interact with the social issue. Which causes many problems when the news are one-sided on certain topics they pick about the community.

Misleading leading news channels

My social justice problem is "Bias news Channels". There is many news out there being broadcasted based on their opinions and what they side with. Some may lie on what they say on television just for publicity or just simply try to cover up what they say sometimes. Certain news channels that have false information mostly in my opinion is Fox news. For many of years, they have been broadcasting and pointing out the community of the black people as a bad area to live. To comprehend how strongly someone beliefs could affect their ways on biased media. Thinking that it is Fox and CNN.

Inspired by Palser barber. (48) When I think about the two I start to think of all the misleading facts that are on there. When both news station talks on a certain topic, both will have their own views on the subject but one will have become more biased than the other maybe or both could be at the same rate as the other. When it comes to promoting fox news tends to broadcast more favorable information coming “itself”. Their thoughts and opinions may come from inside and what their reporters say rather than looking upthe hardcore information. But also other news station may be similar also like CNN may be considered as a liberal station because it's more favored by liberals.

I believe that News should be broadcasted with integrity and the sole purpose of informing the truth to the people around the world to know what's going on economically and socially. When it comes to CNN being the channel I watch more shows that I’m on CNN side because that what I prefer to watch. Most people may favor one side or someone can be all out neutral to the situation which would be great for showing more different stats on the different news station out there. Nowadays information is everywhere when it comes to letting the people know about the world. Fox may not be as open minded as the rest of the news by being right sided but when they project the bad and good about communities that are not actually but just making them worse is not a good idea for the people that live there.

Socialization plays a part in the idea of fox has by putting people into groups white shared norms and ideas, populations, races, etc. Say fox were to get news of white family having problems and bad times and another family had the same problems but there were black.
Biased news channels are to take their opinions upon the sitituation and broadcast them live rather if there bad or not, they do not really care about people opinions unless they go to court for it. If it’s true information they’ll post it, but if it’s false information they will still post it just to get a kick out of it and see the responses of the community. People should take actions upon this due to the false information that can hurt people mentally and emotionally.

The benefits of taking online classes for both the student and the college

With more and more students taking online courses, both can benefit. For example, while taking online courses during at home hours you can easily watch over your house and kids and still get the education you need for the course. It may cost less due to the fact that your not buying all the school supplies and materials you’ll need for a normal class. In addition, the college that is supporting your education may have fewer problems with you and your social problems. Traffic, Storms, Snowstorms, and much more. The attendance is what they really want from you and as long as your there online and learning they will have fewer problems. However , online education does have some drawbacks. For instance, when you home and alone you start to feel deprive of the social life of the school. When the feeling kicks in you start to feel depressed at home by yourself doing schoolwork other than communicate with others and doing teamwork with the students in the classroom. These problems could be easily solved. First, you may have to go on campus if you're close to the campus you applied at , if not there go out somewhere maybe a bookstore or a social atmosphere where people are meeting people. Second, when you have found someone or a group of people, you may hang out with them and become a part of their social life.when having new friend may change your way of thinking. You may have cheerful study sessions with them or just chill and hang out whenever you feel like it. But If these problems aren't addressed, both students and colleges would benefit because you have new friends with partner with and your attendance will still be on point every time you have to go online.
